Ceramic slides are adored for their smooth tone and excellent sustain, but are often marred by drawbacks such as an uneven playing surface and a drop in volume compared with other materials.
The Pork Knuckle goes the whole hog though, being both slippery smooth and surprisingly loud. Its killer feature is the special ribbing on the inside of the slide; this enables air to circulate more freely, stopping your fingers getting clammy or sweaty.
